Ciaran Kelly: Now in his second spell with the club, Ciaran started his career with Ballinrobe Town before moving to the Showgrounds. He also had spells with Derry City, Athlone Town and Galway United before re-joining Rovers in 2009. He famously saved four penalties in the FAI Cup final victory over Shamrock Rovers last year.

Brendan Clarke: Clarke makes the move to The Showgrounds after leaving now defunct club Sporting Fingal. The goalkeeper has also had a spell at St Patrick's Athletic and will have a keenly-contested battle with Ciaran Kelly for the number one spot this season.

Iarfhlaith Davoren: Having joined the club in 2010, Iarfhlaith ranks Galway United, Athlone Town and Longford Town as his former clubs. A talented left back, the Galway native has also represented Ireland at university level and was one of the stars of the FAI Cup final victory at the Aviva Stadium.

Gavin Peers: A former Republic of Ireland U-23 international, Gavin enjoyed spells with Blackburn Rovers and Mansfield Town before signing for Sligo Rovers in 2006. Originally signed as a right back, Gavin is now a mainstay in the heart of the Rovers defence and regarded as one of the finest defenders in the country.

Derek Foran: Signed from Bray Wanderers for the 2010, Derek impressed hugely when called upon throughout the campaign and will hope to have an even bigger impact at The Showgrounds this season.

Danny Ventre: With four seasons already under his belt with Sligo Rovers, Danny has proven to be an un-compromising defender who can play anywhere across the back four and is also equally adept in midfield. Tenacious in the tackle, he is a firm fans favourite in the Showgrounds.

Jason McGuinness: Jason became the first new signing of the 2011, moving from Bohemians. A two-time Premier Divison winner, he will bring plenty of height and experience to the Bit o' Red in the centre of defence.

Alan Keane: Twice voted player of the year with his previous club Galway United, Alan is now into his third season with Sligo Rovers. A full back who can also play at centre-half, Alan has also chipped in with a number of important goals throughout his spell with the club and is also the club's penalty taker.

Richie Ryan: The Tipperary man was in sensational form in 2010, winning the PFAI Player of the Year award in a memorable campaign for the former Sunderland and Royal Antwerp player. Ryan's midfield showings drew plenty of praise and it is hoped he can repeat the performances in 2011.

John Russell: Credited with playing a huge role in the fantastic form Rovers produced in the closing stages of 2010, the former Galway United midfielder will be looking for another consistent season at The Showgrounds this campaign.

Alan Kirby: An experienced winger, the former Longford Town man joins Rovers after winning the FAI Cup three times in his career. Kirby has been a leading player in the League of Ireland in recent years.

Daryl Horgan (On loan at Cork City): The youngster has joined the club from Salthill Devon, signing a two-year-deal in February of 2010. Horgan is a current Republic of Ireland under-19 international and has also represented his country at schoolboy level.

John Dillon: Dillon arrived in the pre-season of 2010 and made an big contribution in the Premier Division season. A lively winger who is at home on the right, the Liverpool native has quickly been ear-marked as one of the most talented and exciting young players at the Showgrounds. He had previously been on the books of Crewe Alexandra.

Eoin Doyle: A product of the Shamrock Rovers youth academy, Eoin signed for Sligo Rovers in July 2009 and marked his debut with a goal against St. Patrick's Athletic. A winger who can also play upfront, Doyle has fast emerged as one of the club's key players.

Joseph N'do: A firm fans favourite in Sligo after some spectacular showings on the way to the double success of 2010, Joesph will hope to add even more trophies this season and continue a fine career. N'do won 21 caps for Cameroon during his international career.

Matthew Blinkhorn: Matthew signed for Sligo Rovers in July 2009 from Morecambe. He previously had spells with Blackpool, Bury and Luton Town. Matthew was part of the Blackpool side that won the LDV Vans Trophy in 2004 in the Millenium Stadium and starred in the final matches of last season in helping the Bit o' Red finish third in the Premier Division.

Mark McGoldrick: The young striker made his debut in 2010 after sensational seasons with the 'A' and Under-20 teams. He scored his first Rovers goal against Monaghan United in the FAI Cup and it is hoped the former Summerhill College student will make further progress in 2011.

Aaron Greene: Greene joined from Bohemians after attracting interest from a number of Irish and cross-channel clubs. The former Galway United man can play on the wing or in attack.

Rafael Cretaro: Now in his third spell with the club, the Tubbercurry Tornado has long been a favourite at The Showgrounds.  He enjoyed a prolific spell in front of goal in 2009 and has now returned to the club with major honours the target for Cretaro this campaign.
